Texas Rangers WIN Series Over Rays
The Rangers held on to a 4-3 win today and will move on to the American League Conference Championship.

The Texas Rangers are moving on after a 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays to finish the series 3-1. They will now await the winner of the New York/Detroit game. The Yankees and Tigers play later today. As for the Rays, it looks like September took all their fire away. They just look wore out coming into todays game.
The Rangers got a big day out of Adrian Beltre as he went 3-4. All three hits were homeruns. Beltre’s last homerun sealed the win for the Rangers. Ian Kinsler was 1-4 with a home run for Texas. Matt Harrison only lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits with 9 strikeouts. The bullpen held their own as they combined to pitch 4 innings, allowing i run on two hits.
Tampa Bay was hoping to mount a comeback, but they only managed one run in the 9th. Casey Kotchman gave the Rays a chance as he went 2-4 with 2 RBI. Matt Joyce added the other RBI hit. The Rays got little production from their 1-4 hitters. Combined, they were only 2-16 with just two hits. Jeremy Hellickson only allowed 4 hits in 4 innings, but 3 were homeruns.
