That same night Washington’s Slugger Adam Dunn got his 1,000 major league hit.The 20 year old Martinez is expected to exceed in the majors. Fernando Martinez was only 16 years old and has been in the Mets minor league organizations for 4 years . Fernando Martinez hit 5 home runs for AAA Buffalo before being called up , he was batting in the .290’s . Martinez is nicknamed F-Mart.
