Start of the 2009 baseball begins with the smell of the parks, the nicely pattern field grass and the fans rallying for their team to win the fall classic. In Yankee stadium it is way more than just the park, the grass and the fans, this season it the new baseball stadium for the yanks including one of the top three baseball player in the league.
Picther C.C Sabathia acquired from the the Milwaukee Brewers after a five month stay after being traded from the Cleveland Indians. Then their is the fast-zooming picther from Toronto picther A.J Burnett giving the blue jays the best picthing rotation in the A.L. east. Finally first baseman all-star Mark Teixeira from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim having an .308 average in 2008.Lets begin with our first star of 2009 Yankees season.
C.C sabathia just signed a Yankeescontract for a seven-year, $161 million contract. This season with C.C in the picthingrotation we expect to get a good 6 innings or more. That was definetley not the case in his first appearance against the Baltimore Oriolesafter allowing 8 hits, six runs, five walks and not a single strikeout in only 4.1 innings including his first ever lost against the Orioles in his whole career. In his second start Sabathia started to pick up the pace with his picthing domination against the Kansas City Royals which most baseball fans know they have always have had a horrible record overall. Sabathia only allowed 7 hits,1 run,no walks and struck out six batters. So we finally got what we paid for, a dominate picther.Sabathias next start should be pretty good.

The second major deal goes to picther A.J Burnett signing a five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Yankees. He was the first Yankee to get the Yankees first win of the 2009 season against the Baltimore Orioles allowing 7 hits,2 runs ,1 walk and struck out 6 batters. So far A.J has only had one start with the Yankees but as you can see performedexcellent. This should be a good year for the fast-zooming picther.

You hear the announcer calling up Mark Teixeira and the whole crowd goes crazy. The first baseman signed $180 million over 8 years with a no trade clause.Mark has appeared inmost of the Yankee games estamating a .250 average with 3 runs,4 hits, 1 homerun and 2 RBI. Last year Mark had a heck of a season having .308 average with 177 hits,33 home runs and 121 RBI.This should be a good year for the Yankees.

In conclusion this team have a stacked pichting rotation,Line up and bullpen. This year might be the year they end the 9 year drought of winning the worl series. So just lay back and wacth out for the New York Yankees of the 2009 season.
